Community Garden

VISION

OUR VISION IS THAT THROUGH THIS GARDEN WE WILL:

: cultivate our connection to God’s creation by following
growth from seed to harvest,

: foster community between our church families and our neighbors,

: be productive stewards of the land God has granted us,

: share the wealth of natural food as far as we are able.

NOW GROWING : Spring 2010

It’s almost spring again! If you’ve been feeling the need to get outside and play in the dirt, then join us at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 27 as we expand our veggie garden. We will be building two smaller raised beds for the children of SAAM/Flood to grow their own veggies this year. In addition we’ll be building two more full-sized raised beds to expand our production to supplement family dinners. No knowledge necessary, but plenty to share! Continue to help yourselves to the carrots, lettuce and other veggies still growing in the boxes. If you need some guidance on how to harvest, contact Steph at steph(at)mattozan.net.

GET INVOLVED

Volunteer shifts will be available throughout the summer. If you’d like to volunteer on a one-time or on a regular basis, please contact Stephanie Anderson (steph at mattozan dot net). You will always be paired to work with another volunteer so that we continue to foster relationships as we grow together.
