7: Challenge

We are in the midst of a seven week look at reconciliation and asking ourselves some pretty tough questions. What are the areas of our lives that need reconciliation? Is it with a person? An organization or institution? Whatever the case, these areas if led unattended can prevent us from experiencing a greater wholeness and generativity. They keep us from moving forward.
As a practice in reconciliation, consider attending the church where you grew up on Sunday morning, March 14. If you didn’t grow up in Sacramento, you could go to a church that is similar to the tradition you came out of. The purpose of this challenge is to seek reconciliation with any hurt or anger you may have as a result of your religious upbringing — celebrate what God has done with that experience in your life, and what he’s continuing to do with your spiritual growth. We’ll meet up that evening and talk about our experiences.
