It’s easy to forget what it is like to be a child: Innocence. Wonder. Imagination. Trust. Curiosity. Though easily lost, these qualities can awaken us to the care of our creator and empower us for creative action. Over the weekend we will:

-Reclaim a sense of wonder–experiencing God through your five senses.
-Living in your story– cultivating an imagination for how your life is God-bathed.
-Renewing your sense of risk and playfulness– embracing your role as a co-creator.

Learning Labs

These action based workshops focus on the themes evident in the life of Jesus: spiritual practices, simplicity, creativity, community, and advocacy. Each lab is designed to push participants beyond thinking about what they think about doing and into what they are currently doing in each of those areas. They are led by FLOOD staff and volunteers. Two labs will begin in October 2010. More info here.

Jesus said that to live the life in Him there will be risk.
That there is a vast mystery to discover.
What ways are you risking?
What discoveries are you making?

Wine Tasting: Kenya 2010

What better way to spend a summer evening in Sacramento than with good food, great wine and friends?…and all for a good cause! You’re invited to a Wine Tasting Event on August 21st. All proceeds of the night go directly toward the Kenya 2010 Flood Team. $20 (minimum) in advance and $25 at the door. There will also be $5 raffle tickets with an awesome prize and tip jars for the wine pourers. So come prepared with cold hard cash — and bring as many friends as you can!
